Should there be some kind of ban on dowry

Dear Members,

Is not it right time to take some collective decision on banning of limiting the dowry such as minimizing or putting some limit on the number of people in marriage ceremonies? It has been done by some of the other progressive communities in Haryana.

The most of the expenditure occurs on the account of arranging of liquors and expenses on show off....in our community.

Hello All,

The dowry system has become a tradition in our community. What i feel is that our community should not take or give dowry, but this thing is not happening the main reason behind it the lands are sold in the crores and they are giving the huge handsome amount to the boys or are demanding the same.
What i feel is that the system of dowry shall be completely removed from our community...

agree with arvind ji, the new generation should come forward to cut down the roots of dowry system in our community i surinder khari taking a oath at this stage that i am not going to involve me and my family in this system any more
