Hi Guys, I resently joined this group and Iam surprised to see so many Gurjars in Punjab. Iam basically from Meerut and presently working as credit analyst in SBI posted at ludhiana. I was pleasently surprised to find that Dy Commissoner of Ludhiana is Sh. Sumer Singh Gurjar, IAS. Jindadh Gotra of Gujjars is found among Bakarwal Gujjars and Swat Gujjars also but many Jats also claim Jindadh Gotra why is that

Kya apke pass kisi bhi gurjar ke sikh hone ke koi othentics prouf hai,
Punjab ke andar ek bhi sikh gurjar nhi hain,sb hindu gurjar hain,,

these are all the gujjar gotras or clans . Itne gotra toh kisi mei bhi nahi lagte. Yeh toh main yani mothership jaissa lgta ha jo sab jatiyo ke gotras ki khan ha |

Gujjro va jato ke similar gotra dusri jatiyon mei bhi paaye jaate ha, jaisse ki julaha-chamars adi ke gotra Bajar/bajad, rathi, kataria, toor, dahiya va anya bahut saare ha. inhko kiske kareeb mana jaaye.

Sardar kuldeep Singh Chandpuri gotta Meelu.
Brigadier Kuldip Singh Chandpuri MVC, VSM (22 November 1940 – 17 November 2018) was a decorated Indian Army officer. He is known for his leadership in the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, The 1997 Hindi film Border was based on the battle, with his role played by Sunny Deol. He was a councillor in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation from 2006 to 2011.
Award - Maha Vir Chakra the second higest decorated military Medal in India.

Sardar Jasjit Singh Chandpuri Air Commodore Jasjit Singh, AVSM, VrC, VM (8 July 1934 – August 4, 2013) was an Indian Air Force officer, writer and military strategist. In his military career, he was awarded the Vir Chakra during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He last served as the Director of Operations of the IAF. He later headed the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses from 1987 to 2001 as its Director. In 2001, he founded the think tank Centre for Air Power Studies in New Delhi and served as its Director General till his death in 2013. His son Vice Admiral Sanjay jasjit Singh.
