Hi
The topic is quite sensitive and at last have been reffered to standing committee.
the main point is to understand the logic behind reservation. I will like to through some light on it.
The base of reservation was to provide representaion to those who were inadequately represented in the services and society . we all know that sc and st were so badly treated by upper class, and Ambedkar demanded reservation for them but it was for 10 years bcs according him also he has provided enough in the constitution that it could be achieved. But thatnks to our politician they are not working to achieve this but always using this as a political tool.
Lets talk about gujjars i has just one question from all. how many IAS officers we have.we can count on fingers just two. how many IPS officers we have the list goes on. This means we don't have adequate representation of our community in these services.these are the services who make policies so reservation is required till the objective is achieved till we become self sufficient as child needs nurturing till he/she becomes mature enough.
Please don't think otherwise this is very delicate topic we need healthy discussion on it .

Well on the issue of reservation I have only one view that SC ST tag is not a social tag. Every one knows that Gurjars are KShatriya the Warriors. I consider it a kind of Political tag.
Why should not we use it as a tool and not as a meter of our pride? This is just a reflection of the fact that most of Gurjars are not educated, and this count is worse with the girls. Most of us are not Politically united. Most of us still dont feel good if someone succeed from our own village or neibourhood (I mean Gurjars), which ofcourse contradict the fact we love Gurjars from distant place but not our neighbours or Village fellows(this is a personal observation and totally my personal view I may be wrong for most of the places but its a simple human nature.)
And as it has already been written by Vishal we dont have any significant no of people IAS and IPS, So Yes we are Backword and no wonder if people call us STs.
So dont take it as a matter of pride. Use it as a tool. And reach the heights that we deserve.
Once we have 60-70% litracy rate than we can think of competition on merrit bases. Few people who have attand few degrees and are doing good in their carrier cant assume(ofcourse myself included) that whole of the Gurjar sociaty is good and capable of facing the competion on merit bases.
I am strognly in favour of reservation. All question against the reservation are always welcome.

hi folks, i would like to ask you why the Gurjar community is now demanding ST status from OBC? and whether you personally feel caste should be the basis for reservation and whether the violence in rajashtan is justified?
