Dear all gurjars Please tell me about Prithavi Raj Chauhan, is he gurjar or rajput. regards Rajesh Choudhary 1. Fariesta is a very well known historians who got first hand information from the orignal people of India and put that on record and clears doubt about origin of rajput people. Rajput origin In his book Tarikh-A- Fariesta on an introductory chapter on life of hindus he explains it very well.. Quote.. Some of the Hindoos assert, that the tribes of Brahmin and Kshetry existed from time immemorial, but that the Rajpoots are a modern tribe, only known since the beginning of the Kulyoog. The same is related of many other different tribes. The origin of the Rajpoots is thus related. The rajas, not satisfied with their married wives, had frequently children by their female slaves, who, although not legitimate successors to the throne, were styled Rajpoots, or the children of the rajas, and the children of Raja Sooruj, whose history we shall now relate, were the first to whom the name of rajpoot was given. The population of India, like that of other parts of the globe, arose from the descendants of Noah. After the flood, Noah's three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japhet, ........... E 1. 2. In another translations BY General Briggs under under Kamgar Husayani from translations of persian records we found same story .. Quote... I write, they (the Rájpúts) attained the sovereign power, and the manner of their gaining it is thus related: According to a custom which is still prevalent, the ráís of the Khatrís make their damsels wait upon them during the day, but give them liberty to do as they please at night; so each fair one chooses whom she will, and gives birth to children. These are brought up with great care, and are looked upon as the children of the great ráís. As sons of the house, they consider themselves as of noble birth, and call themselves sons of the Rájás. If you ask one of them whose son he is, he will tell you he is a Rájpút, that is, son of a Rájá; for Raj means the same as Rájá, and pút signifies “son.” It is related that the sons of Rájá Súraj, whose history will be told subsequently, were called Rájpúts. This clearly gives the origin and evolution of rajput group. slightly tricky this one is ppl say he was a rajput (but we nvr might know coz history is always a mutilated version of facts written to glorify the winner) ).waise bhi rajput is also a subclan of gurjars

Nanasaheb Gurjar kirloskarapps.kirloskar.com/kirloskar/aboutkirloskar/kirloskar_history.htmlThe setting up of KECL and other Kirloskar companies saw a major role being played by Nanasaheb Gurjar, a lawyer who made industry his sole area of operation. Though the development of air compressors was an established activity at Kirloskarvadi, a full-fledged plant to manufacture the same was set up at Pune in 1958, under the eventual management of Shreekant Kirloskar, Shantanurao's youngest son. In collaboration with Broom and Wade of England, Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited began the manufacture of air compressors and pneumatic tools.

Deputy Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar punjabgovt.nic.in/news2007/june/jun_5.htmThe state government has decided to give a final opportunity to prepare new or duplicate red cards to victims of 1984 riots who could not get those earlier. The cards would be prepared as per instructions issued earlier by the government. Giving further details, Deputy Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar said that advertisements to this effect had also been published in the different newspapers. www.templenet.com/Western/abhaneri.htmlAccording to the locals, the village is so called because, the local Goddess Harshat Mata is shown portrayed in a joyous mood and spreads brightness or abha all around. The village's original name was Abha Nagri, and its name today is Abhaneri. The village is said to have been founded by the legendary king Raja Chand and thus the village could be over three thousand years old. However, it is felt that the mythological Raja Chand could be King Bhoja, who ruled over the Gurjar kingdom in the ninth century AD. The ruins of the temple conform to 10th century architectural and sculptural styes. Rajesh Pilot (died June 11, 2000) was an Indian politician and a minister in Government of India. He belonged to the Indian National Congress party and represented the Dausa constituency in Lok Sabha.
Rajesh Pilot was born in Viadpura, a village in Ghaziabad District or Uttar Pradesh, to an armyman. His birthname was Rajeshwar Prasad Singh Vidhudi. He was brought up in the poor family of his uncle, in Delhi. Before joining politics, he served as a pilot in Indian Air Force. Later, he adopted "Pilot" as his last name.
Rajesh Pilot resigned from the post of Squadron Leader to join the politics, under the influence of his friend Rajiv Gandhi, who later became the Prime Minister of India. He emerged as a major Gujjar leader.[1] In his first election as a candidate, Pilot defeated the former queen of Bharatpur. He sent Chandraswami to the prison while he was Internal Security Minister. Later, he lost an election for the post of the Congress president to Sitaram Kesri, but kept himself in the first line of the Congress leaders.
