Munan, Mundan are the same gotras. In India the elders of Munnan gotra says they are one of the branch of Gujjar Parmars. The Ujjain ( Dhara) was the capital of Gujjar Parmars who were one of the great fuedatories of Gujjar Pratihar overlords.
It Was Gujjar Parmar who punished Allat in 954AD, the Guhilot king of Chittor and a Vassal of Gujjar Parmars that time. Allat was probably was given the responsibuility of the security of Gujjar Emperor Dev Pal of Kannauj who was returning from Sakambri after resolving a dispute between Salvan (The Gujjar Tanwar king Dhillika, now Delhi) and Gujjar Chauhan king Singraj, when Allat killed the Emperor.
You can read the lost generations of Chittor Guhilots since Chittor was taken back by Gujjar Parmars from Guhilots by Gujjar Parmars of Malwa.

I am Azeem (Munan) Gujjar from Faisalabad District Punjab (Pakistan). My fore fathers belong to Meer Pur Gujjran Teh Shakargarh before partition shakargarh was the part of Gurdas Pur District. In Shakargarh there are 18 villages of Munnan Gujjars. In 1898 our family shifted in District Faisalabad (Chak No. 168/GB Sairaj Tehsil Summandri). In our village there are 98% Munnan Gujjars. My grandfather told me that we are the race of "JUG DEV". If you know more information please inform me ......

my father told me that shakargarh is the garh of munan gujjars azeem is right in his info........ we are in lahore since birth but often visited our village that is BUA lacated in NOOR KOT .....the most famous villages of gujjars are BUA, HUSSAIN PUR, CHALA, KANJROOR, DIN PUR, PLATAAN etc.............

Some other villeges of munan's are Saraj, Kalha, Dalha Bura, New and Old Pagala etc, I am glad that there is majority of Munans are located in Skg. |

i am munan gujjar and my father name dr.abdul rehman gujjar and my grand father muhammad shafi gujjar and my old granfather name was ch.muhammad sultan gujjar .pind 167 ...katarian .tahsil samundri ,dist faisalabad..........
