Definately the acquisition improves the economic position of the farmers irrespective of their caste and creed. A small time farmer, having 1 -2 acres of land earns very meagre income from his land. whereas the acquisition of the same land immediately provides of Rs.40-50 lakhs of rupees. So i have no doubt that acquisition of the land improves the economic position of the farmers and such huge amount of money if invested properlly can make the person grow manifold in a span of two three years. The prices of land have notices a steep rise and the person who were able to manage alternative plots in lieu of the land are now millionaires. I appreciate the views expressed by Samir Khatana. His expression is not only philosophical but gives the ground reality.
It is basically sudden income which most people due to lack of education loses very quickly. I think the Government, rather than giving paying compensation in terms of Rupees, should return land equivilent to 25% to 35% of actual land acquired as land compensation. The deveoped land not only offers higher value but also provides alternate source of income.
The peoples who waste their money in flaunt of wealth are the real losers. The solution is again the education and little care of future.

I agree with Sameer, we should prepare next generation to be more aware what is happening and what will be the repercussion if land is acquired (what rate is secondary thing)... we should hold this asset as long as we can.
IF you see the Delhi than you will find most of the land acquired is from Gurjar’s areas and now situation is becoming worse… I have seen families not only losing the money but also the life of male family members, the reason 1) got access to easy money 2) Lose the work(farming) and now have no idea what to do…so sitting idle with lots of money ,the only way out is to start drinking.
This is the fact and every home where land is acquired has a widow, do we really deserve this kind of situation.
We should devise a way to keep the community member busy and start utilizing their skills to improve the overall health of community
Virtually we are connecting ourselves. This is a good sign, but we should arrange monthly/quarterly meeting to come up the ideas to improve the community in all aspect.
And all this require dedicated person whose job is to coordinate the various activity. And have the panel members from all walks of life.
Now is the time to awake the community.
Regards, Sunil Tonger

well freinds, govt acquired agri land in noida is the pathetic step not only form the view of farmers (specially gurjar com) but also for agri purpose bcoz the land belonging to the area like greatre noida near kasna and upto sikandrabad is got for crops due to the good fertility condisions rather some of the farmers are happy that they will get an huge amount of money in exchange of that but drastically they do not know how to properly invest that money, they spend this amount on luxury models of car, good looking triple story buildings and on other unnecesory acts that handsome amount what they have get will be fineshed soon because they do not know the exact direction to invest secondly india being an primerily agri based country even then we dont have enough stock to feed BPL peoples. Even then its an wrong step to accuire agri land specially in UP which have good fertility for corps Thanks Yogesh nagar yogesh2nagar@yahoo.com
